Catholic Links Leadership Programmes

Our programmes provide training, development and formation for leaders contributing to, or aspiring to, leadership in a Catholic school or academy. we offer tailored programmes that suit your stage of professional learning and bring you together with colleagues from across the diocese. The facilitators are often past participants in the Catholic Links programme who understand the beliefs, values, principles and approach of Catholic leadership training. We have five different programmes to suit your needs at different stages of your career.

Moving

  • An opportunity for aspiring or middle leaders to reflect on their own practice and extend leadership skills further in the context of a Catholic School
  • School based coaching activities and online learning form part of the programme
  • Opportunity to attain accreditation through Newman for Master credits

Moving Up

The Moving Up programme is designed to meet the needs of aspiring senior leaders (i.e. assistant headteacher or deputy headteacher, or assistant principal or vice principal) who are ready for and committed to stepping up to a headship or a principal's post. Participants are likely to be in the process of considering applications for such posts and may well have already made applications, albeit they have not yet been successful. The programme is noted for giving participants confidence to progress successfully to headship.
